He actually doesnt think it's a good idea, he thinks I wont be able to assemble it properly and it will collapse and or fold up on me. He isnt even worried about me getting hurt but he doesnt want the dog to get hurt.

He's probably right though:-D

What a lovely present, Elaine!

Does this mean that when your van next breaks down you will be able to cycle home? ;)

Sounds just the job. Do you have a spannery thing to do up bolts and levers etc.???

Come on woman a picture of the bike is needed.

Sounds ideal I was looking at the folding bike idea doing some gentle excercise.

Great present! How wonderful though, a partner who actually thinks about what he is buying ;)

I second Kazz' picture request. I do so envy people who are able to ride a bicycle ..... :(

This is the bike. It arrived today, as did the walkydog attatchment. Assembled it, hadnt tightened the handle bars or the seat properly, so that was the first mistake:lol: .
Once assembled, it took me a few atempts to get going and I was a bit wobbly but am sure I will get better. Havent been on a bike for more than 30 years:shock: .

Don't do what I do Elaine - I have a tendency to bring the bike pedal up when I have slowed down and need to get going again and whack myself in the ankle with it

(needless to say I mouth a sort-of swear word when i do that:oops:  ) Just to clarify I do not normally swear

That looks just right for the job Elaine. Of course you will get better.
