Microwave with oven/grill

My microwave beeped for the last time yesterday. It is ancient so have decided to replace.

I was going down the microwave only route as I'm not sure I like the idea of it being a grill and oven. We tend to use it mainly to heat beans or a quick ready meal. Just wondered if anyone on here has any thoughts either way?

My microwave is probably used just like yours, but a friend swears by the oven type with grill and browning dish.

Guess it would be a useful option .... no idea how much they cost though.

Cm take a look at the new panasonic microwaves, I think they now do one without the stupid turn table. I think they also do this range with a grill.

They are usually well made I had my mums first microwave and I think it lasted for about 20 years lol

Mine s merely a microwave and I use it in a similar way to you. A couple of friends have the oven/micro combo and they swear by it.

my mum had one for ages, there pretty good and as the capacity isn't that big they heat up really quickly, so its probably cheaper to use the oven in the microwave than heat your full sized oven up.

We've just got a nice siemens compact oven/microwave to go next to our full sized oven in our new house, so doing away with a microwave stuck on our work top

We have a Panasonic microwave with a grill, it's a lovely machine and great for reheating things that have a crispy top like cottage pie, as there are automatic buttons that combine both functions without any help from me! It's a few years old now and isn't flatbed, I like the look of those!

We have a combination oven and it is fab. It was really useful when our main oven blew up! Great for jacket potatoes and if you want to cook something small, saves heating up the big oven. We use the grill bit quite a bit and it is very good.
