I thought i'd let you all know. Tiger-Lilly must have been a month more than thought as yesterday morning (December 12th), Tiger gave birth to 7 little wonders. She sailed through the birth with only one problem with the last kitten. The last kitten she was too tired to get out of the placenta so I had to do this for her and it was a very close call with the kitten, it took a few minutes to get its breathing going but I managed to and the little one is fine. They are all feeding off Mum with no problems. So here are a couple of pics of the little fluffies :-D

We have just found one of the kittens had died :( a little black & white girl. I'm really worried she keeps sitting on them.

I am so sorry - I don't know what to suggest to keep mum from sitting on her babies ........

She seems to be ok now maybe she didnt suffocate the kitten maybe it died and she moved it behind her away from the litter because she knows I check on them all and i'd find it. I think i'm just being worried cat mummy. I named the little kitten Ruby and buried her. Have fun at the bridge Ruby.

Glad everything went well for Tiger- Lily, except of course the loss of little Ruby.

Those kittens are gorgeous. And remind me very much of the littler that Cloud came from as well... So sorry to hear about the loss of little Ruby.

I will officially advertise them when they are 8 weeks old and they will be ready to go to new homes at 12 weeks.

Just take care as i know you will, your babies will be ready to home in Spring. Springtime means (usually) a lot of kittens being born. Make sure folk really know its a big responsibility taking in a baby animal. the Dogs Trust slogan - "A dog is for life" (not just for Christmas) applies to all animals.

What people say & what they do are too different things, check with your local Cats Protection to see if they would help with neutering & guide your prospective homers towards that aim. There is nothing worse than a puppy or kitten having puppies & kittens :(

Im sure there are experienced home checkers on the forum who could guide you in the questions to ask folk who want to take on one of these babies :)

Yes little ginger and white is a boy. I will be very select with my homes for them. They will each be provided with a kitten care package including Panacur worming paste, Advocate flea treatment 1 month supply. They will already be flead and wormed aswell, kitten owner book. I found a really good book which has an owners manual and a book with all the dates for all treatments so you can keep a record. They will have all there injections and I will ask about if they could be neutered before they leave me also. I have a very a good vets which are very low cost but they are really good.

What would be the point? Surely their new owners would want to choose their own names, unless you're planning on keeping any yourself!

If when you get interested parties at 8 weeks, you could ask prospective owners what they would like to call the kitten & from then on start to call them their choosen name so when they go to new homes they will know their name

Think it would be too confusing to get used to names you had choosen & then have to relearn new ones few weeks later :)
