This cottage is for sale and empty, Malaika seems fascinated by it for some reason and everytime we go on this walk she likes to explore it's grounds and goes to stand by the front door

She looks lovely in her new coat. Hope she manages to keep it clean. Bet she's happy to wear it and keep warm.

Wonder what she finds so interesting about that cottage?

It is strange about the cottage, she reacts the same everytime we go past. When she stands at the door it's as if she's waiting for someone to answer.
There are some sheds that she sniffs at and i wonder if there are perhaps feral cats. I occasionaly get a whiff of Tom cat but have never seen anything.

Do dogs have a sixth sense, like cats?

I sort of get a spooky vibe!

Yeah they def do my mom and I have both had spooky things happen at the same gravestone with different dogs twenty years inbetween occurances!
I def got a spooky vibe with that photo especially as you say that it is as if she is waiting to be let in.
Coat loves beautiful - A gorgeous model does help though!

Ooooh tell me more Danielle, what spooky things happened ?
I'm not realy sensitive to atmospheres but do find it a bit odd that she always goes and waits at the door. Perhaps she just likes the cottage but i'm afraid its well out of our price range ;)

Well my mom walked in the cemetry where I now walk my dogs when she lived in thsi area 20 odd years ago actually prob more like 30 now. She walked there every day as I do. She had a cross, a great dane and an afghan hound (the afghan had to be lead walked because he was incredibly thick and just couldn't be trained) they were all walking along doing there own thing then they all sat stock still facing the same grave (even the afghan who had never done a perfect sit in his life!) my mom called them - nothing. She pulled the afghans lead - couldn't shift him. Then all of a sudden they all got up and carried on like nothing happened.
A couple of years ago when I only had Bailey my Rotti X GSD I was walking him and he suddenly started running and barking at a grave stone once he went past it he suddenly stopped and just carried on in his usual manner.
I rang my mom when I got home and it was the same gravestone.
I avoid that area now I guess that person didn't like dogs in life!
Before this I didnt really believe in all that stuff but that is just too much of a coincidence.

She looks lovely in her coat but think she would look lovely anyway!

How long has the cottage been empty? You dont think they left an animal inside? Horrible thought but its happened

That is such an eerie story Danielle. Made the back of my neck tingle! Don't suppose you've ever been tempted, or brave enough, to try and find out something about the person buried in that grave?

Is the inscription readable?

Yeah I think so. I have avoided walking past it since! There are two graves very close together so i think it may be family members.

You could make a note of all the details on both stones and perhaps try your local records office? The usual details may not be all that helpful but the other option is if you have a local paper that keeps an archive ............ I'd have to know!

Not sure how long the cottage has been empty, certainly months maybe more.
I wonder if they did have pets and she can smell them, you can see through some of the windows and there's no sign of animals. Also i assume people have viewed the property.
