Dear friends,
I signed a petition urging China to free the Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo.
Liu Xiaobo just won the Nobel Peace Prize, but can't accept it from his jail cell. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison for writing a document calling for the protection of human rights and democracy.
He has been fighting for a more open, free and democratic China for more than 20 years, but now he is imprisoned illegally and illegitimately.
The Nobel Peace Prize is a great acknowledgement of the important work that Liu Xiaobo has done for his people. Now China knows that the world is watching. Tell them that it's time to release this peaceful man from jail.
