I wondered if we could jointly write a poem including as many Catsey Cats as possible.
I have started it off and wrote a few lines about my Cats, now i'd like to invite you to write a few lines about your own Cats and see what we end up with.
We can put it together at the end perhaps ?
Catsey Cats
The Catsey Cats come from far and wide
If they got together they could form a pride.
Each one is precious; they’re all diverse,
Lets see if we can get them all in this verse.
Tom and Jerry are Tabby boys
They love to eat and play with toys
Catnip sends them up the wall
When the packet is open life’s a ball

Chloe and Misty always fight
Won't be friends, try as I might
Misty is thick but cute
Chloe thinks she is a beaut!

Leia's quite a regal cat,
Proud she once had caught a rat!
Kind of picky about her food,
Usually in a laid back mood.
Exercise? Now what is that?
I'm not really at all fat.
Let the kittens romp and play
On my chair I'll gladly stay.
Except when mice are in my house,
I cannot stand to have a mouse.
They'll be sorry they came in ..
But food I like comes in a tin!

Izzi and Breagh are just 3 months old
So really their story is still to be told
My little catlings are tabby girls
There fur is marked with whorls and swirls
They sleep and eat and sleep and play
They bring such pleasure to our day

They called me Posh because that's what I am
Will only eat chicken, will NEVER eat SPAM
I excel at being gorgeous and proud,
I get what I want because my meow is LOUD.
Now don't be thinking that I'm just a diva,
My staff will tell you my cries are a lever,
To get my own way, but Dahlings, I know
They just love me so.
Not for me, hunting or playing with toys
I use other charms to get attention from boys.
My big blue eyes, my fluffy, silky fur
And just wait until you hear me PURRRRRR...
Kuan Yin was curious right from her youth
She meowed so loud, it took no sleuth--
Tucked into a pocket, small as a mouse
Now she's Queen who rules the house!
Hestia holds her tail so high
She'll never look foolish; no how, no why
She makes muffins with such magnitude
But don't forget the "tortitude"..
Solomon likes to chat all day
And where there's others, he's sure to stay
His eyes are such a baby blue--
Don't look too long, he will charm you!

Dylan's such a snuggly boy,
Who loves playing with a catnip toy.
He loves going out hunting;
Adores giving out a bunting!*
Don't look too long at him
Or you'll lose your heart
Feed him chicken and he'll love you
Until the end of time.
*Head rub.
The second verse wouldn't behave so I've left it like that for now.

Harry simply adores cuddles
He has a bestfriend who he loves to snuggle
He is very loving and awfuly sweet
And the most talkative cat you will ever meet
Vinnie goes hunting day and night
You cannot stop him, try as you might
He looks like a tiger but is a big softy really
With a great fluffy candyfloss belly
Lola was a little orphan stray
Who turned up and decided to stay
She has no voice instead its a squeek
Her favourite passtime is to sit and eat!

Mr Tomsk strolls around full of flair.
Helga's diet is going so well,
Sooty thinks that life is just swell.
Loki is proud he has caught a mouse,
Misty is happy to stay in the house.
Tabatha lives in the study, with me,
Jimmy has only one eye so can't really see.
Fluffy's a scardey and hates being brushed,
Anyone who annoys Candy is suitably crushed.
Pumpkin is the big ginger boy, while Urchin is still terribly coy!

Well done, farthing! You managed 13, I'm still struggling to do one for Onyx.
Cassie loves to play in the sun,
Chasing butterflies is always great fun.
On top of the flowers she'll often lay,
I haven't the heart to move her away.
She's very timid and wary of strangers,
Will hide away from sudden dangers,
She's often mischievous, often naughty...
But that's what comes with being a Tortie.
She's currently curled up in her chair,
Sleeping and snoring without a care.
In my heart she has a soft spot,
Would I change her? Definitely not!!!
