The actor Tony Curtis died yesterday after a heart attack. He was 85.

My dad was nicknamed "Tony" Curtis - as he shared the famous surname. It caused a fair deal of confusion in his family as his brothers and sisters (10 of them!) knew him as Bill and all his friends called him Tony.

RIP Tony Curtis.

I had no idea he was that age!. Liked some of his films, others not so fussy about!

I think our ideals about male "looks" has certainly changed over the years. He epitomised the sort of pouty look that was around with Elvis at the time.

I had a MAJOR pash on Tony Curtis when I was about 11 - first love you could call it. I remember being too embarassed to watch a Persuaders interview with him on 'Nationwide' and ran into the kitchen ostensibly to talk to my Mum whilst it was on. Then kicked myself for the next week as in those days there was no video or iPlayer.

He had a great life, made a real difference to loads of people and I hope he died happy and fulfilled. RIP gorgeous.

I used to love him in 'The Persuaders'!

He had a good life I imagine and was a reasonable age. RIP Tony.
