UK Wedding Reception - a few pictures

Here are a few pictures of our UK wedding reception venue and the tables we have prepared this afternoon - all ready for our guests tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a nice day

Lovely I was thinking about you todday when the heavens opened and actually said a little "prayer" I suppose; saying "rain all you want today, but not on Emma's wedding tomorow"

Whats the menu..........................

Thanks everybody.

Kazz the menu is quite simple.

Starter -Duo of Melon - with Sorbet and Orange Syrup.
Main Course - Roast Chicken Supreme - Topped with Herb Crust, Dauphinoise Potatoes.
Dessert is a Traditional Italian Wedding Cake

The wedding cake is being made by a lady in London and Taxied over to us.

A couple of people who do not like chicken are having
Roast Leg of Lamb
Roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, apple sauce and gravy

Thanks Yola - also the chair sashes nearly match my dress - actually I think they match the colour of my shoes!!! The barn is decorated in chocolate/brown theme and our colour theme is sage green so it matches quite well.

Luckily for us the barn was only built late last year so it is all still very new and in very presentable condition.

Nobody but me and my husband have seen the barn and I think everybody will really like it.

It was drizzing earlier Shelley but it is brightening up now - although forecast is for rain tonight and storms lol luckily the barn is quite big and there is also an upstairs we can use. Also we are taking the Wii with us ;-)

We had a great time, everybody seemed to enjoy themselves - however I had a tummy upset and had to leave early so I missed the disco. I feel fine now. I would say that we had about 69 people and you don't get enough time to talk to a fraction of them - I have no idea how people cope with a massive wedding.

That cake looks scrummy! :) I bet everyone had a great time, you both look so happy, (so many glasses on the table :-D ) such a shame about your upset tum and missing the dancing :( hope you're feeling much better today!

MrsH - strangley I feel great today??? very odd. The cake was sooo good - we are going back to the venue today and collect the rest of our bits - and hopefully the rest of the cake!! LOL

So very very glad everything went well. Maybe your tummy upset was a little case of nerves, glad everyone enjoyed themselves. I have no idea how people do big weddings either.....my sisters wedding there were 60 people and that was just the party. The wedding itself was 28, and she and her husband were struggling to get round, my Mom and his Mom were in their oil tots.
