Picked this afternoon. Seed started March 17th. It's a bit smaller than usual; wonder if the lack of rain had anything to do with it; I've watered but the City water has chlorine and flouride... ???

Anyhow, will enjoy the first fruits from the backyard garden at lunch tomorrow.http://www.over50sforum.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

And I beat the squirrel to it......

Lovely! Enjoy your tomato :D I have masses on my 10 greenhouse plants but they're little green bullets at the moment

Nothing like the taste of a juicy, homegrown sunkissed tomato :D Next year I will get grow bags and do my own. Looking out for one of those instant greenhouses, I saw one in the Betterware catalogue and was tempted. It's a self assembly, plastic job but will suit me and will help to propagate a few seeds too.

Looks lovely Eileen, enjoy!!

We have a couple of tomato plants in a hanging basket this year, first time we have done this, saw it at our garden centre. We don't seem to have much luck with other methods. We currently have 3 orangey tomatoes!!! :)
