Our wedding rings - in the making

Thought some of you would like to see our wedding rings, these are the blank ones that our rings will be made from, mine will have diamonds around it (like a half eternity) and OH will have polished shoulders (the jeweller has started working on OH - marking out the shoulders) and the middle section will be brushed with a diamond in the centre.

Lovely .................. in 1999, I had my mum's platinum engagement and wedding rings made into a new ring for me - it was silly not to as I couldn't wear either of them. Never regretted it and I have a gorgeous ring. Don't wear it often enough - it's not the sort of thing to wear when you're gardening!!!

Those will be very special rings for you and your husband.

They're lovely! I especially like the blunt-edged one. Will the edges be rounded off or remain square?

Yola - the blunt edged one is mine and it will be shaped - he needed to order that particular band in as I am having diamonds in mine and he will shape the edge when he has set the stones.

No inscriptions Kazz - OH wanted some soppy inscription but I wasn't too keen!! lol

When they are finished they should look very similar but OH will be wider with one stone whereas mine will have 15 diamonds chanel set.

hubby and i have matching wedding rings.... and my eternity ring is exactly the same as my wedding ring except that i had diamonds put into it...
its usually not a lot dearer to get exactly what you want...

Mine will be chanel set and OH will be punched.

Very true about the price, I think to buy these from a shop would have cost us a lot more (the insurance value will be approx 3 times the price we have paid)

That why I adore but stay away from the Jewellery quarter in Birmingham you can get suckered in...well willingly but still in.

Told Katie (niece) we will visit the JQ when I am on my feet and she can see what sort of design she wants for her piece of jewellery she wants for her 18th...present from my Mom and Dad and me.

Better and more cost effective to design and have made something she wants loves then buya from high street.

Well here are the finished rings, he has pave set my diamonds as he said you see more of the diamonds and also if the edges of the ring get damaged they can rectify it easier than channell set. I love them !!!!

They are beautiful, I have been looking at wedding rings, (getting married in September), and really fancy a band with a diamond(s) in it...I think they are a lot prettier than the plainer ones and then you don't need to always wear your engagement ring, :)

Thanks everybody for your kind words. Well the valuation certificate has come through (retail value is 3 times what we paid for them!!)

I cannot wait to wear it, 2 1/2 weeks to go!!!! LOL
