oh that is so cute, you can see her little tummy being squished lol. What is the story with these Tink, is the owner a breeder or are they rescue?

she is a responisible breeder that is letting a lot of people like us in the States watch how a ferret should properly be born instead of like 90% of the ferrets here that are produced in a mill, descented, spayed/neutered far too early, etc.

I thought something was going to happen just then, but she was just checking before having a little doze.

Can't wait to see the babies - no doubt they'll make an appearance once I'm tucked up in bed asleep!

Cammy went into early labor and then suddenly stopped. If she doesn't have the kits by tomorrow they are going to have to do c section i think.

Cammy update April 27th 2010 (copied and pasted by breeder)

Cammy was taken to the vet today since she is on day 44 of her pregnancy and is two days overdue. With much deliberation the vet and I decided that she needed a little help. It is dangerous to let ferrets go too far overdue and especially in Cammy's case because she is tiny to begin with.
So Cammy got a shot of prostiglandin, to help ripen her cervix and get her moving along. The vet thinks he felt at least 4 kits, he said some could be hiding so there may be more. Cammy is now home and resting in her nest box. She is panting and her tummy is really tightning up. Everyone is hoping that she gives birth by tonight.
If the kits haven't arrived by tomorrow the vet may need to take other steps to help them along

Cammy has had 6 kits by c-section but unfortunately they lost one. Cammy is fine but still a bit wobbly.......should hopefully be home tonight.

Glad all went well in the end!

Aww they lost one, huh? Well at least all is well with Cammy and there's still 5 kits. We were talking earlier about stillborn so I'm glad that's not the case. Phew!

Cammy's two remaining kits (the others didn't make it) are growing so much and have fur now! :D
