Here she is! My gorgeous new bundle of fluff. She has settled in amazingly well, slept through last night and getting the hang of house training.

Being allergic to dogs I understand a poodle is one of the few I'd probably be OK around. I have to admit to loving standard poodles; what size will the delicious Darcy grow to?

Thank you everyone! It has been a bit of a change, after living with my darling Kindly who slept for 23 hours a day ;)
She is attached to me constantly at the moment so we are having to practice being left alone for a few minutes at a time at the moment.
Yola, she will be about 12-14 inches at the shoulder fully grown, the 'medium' of the poodle sizes.

Pups are a lot of work, when you have been used to older dogs.....  But well worth it...;)

What a sweetie! How's she coming along PL? Do you leave her when you go to work, or take her with you?

Hi Angie, I've been off for this week to settle her in but when it's all back to normal she'll be staying at home generally while I'm at work. I worry about the risk of infection and I think she'll settle better where it's quiet. With my and OH's shifts, she'll be at home for 2-3 hours and she sleeps fpr that long at the moment anyway.

What I'd really love is to live near someone with a nice little dog so that I could get used to "doggy ways"! My old school friend (who found Pip for me) used to have a lovely little girly, but she's gone to join Merlin now. She was a Patterdale X. I think I'm actually scared of dogs, especially larger ones.

I never thought about the infection risk PL. The way yours and your OH's shifts work out, sounds just fine. That first day will be a bit anxious though! Lovely you've had a week off with Darcy. When will she get her jabs etc?
