in a multi animal house hold,do u think any of ur animals feel they get less attention then the rest???

i have 2 cats and 1 dog,the 2 cats do their own thing really, not wanting attention much, and the dog always wants attention, even when im trying to give it to one of the other 2,the older cat will not come for attention but will lie in his bed crying for attention

Interesting question niki! I only have two cats and I feel that they both get as much attention as they want. They both come for smooths and cuddles when they want. I ought to add that because of our particular situation, we are at home nearly all the time so have lots of time and attention to give. I have never had a dog but I'm sure they are more "needy" of attention than a cat generally speaking.

I think the second "dogs" should read "cats";)

What I meant to say is that I do find that dogs seem to crave alot more attention than cats, even though M&M are not far behind at craving the attention they get than dogs are:lol:
Hope that makes more sense:roll:

Untill recently we were a two Dog, two Cat household. All the Pets are well cared for but since losing both Dogs i do feel that the Cats have more attention, obviously because we have more time. I don't mean that the Cats were ignored or anything just that the Dogs demanded more.

With a 9 cat household, all of our cats get the attention they need. :cat27 We have an unlimited amount of time to spend with them. If they do need extra attention, they will just come & sit next to us with their big cute eyes looking at us.
We can't resist a cute kitty! :-D

Don't know much abut dogs, but as they're basically pack animals and as we humans are their pack I suppose they would be more needy than cats. Cats are more independent, but mine have always let me know when they wanted a fuss. And got it!

I just had an example. Leia normally just sits by me while I'\m doing the Wednesday quiz; today she came ad flopped down in the "I want a tummy rub" position, then ran up then stairs for the Ping pong game. Both of which she got. I am well trained.

My dog loves getting loads of attention and my cat loves it as well. I think they both get the same amount of attention. :D
