My new puppy......Kita

Here is my new puppy Kita. She is a Belgian Shepherd and is now 7months old so has grown somewhat since this pic was taken but trying to get OH to take some new pics is a nightmare. I am hopeless at taking pics.

Thanks Angie. He is a she though!! Kita is much bigger now sh towers above poor Pepsi she is even taller than Max our Border Collie. I will try and get some pics done of her this weekend.

Her ears are totally upright now but the are soooo big. I will try and get some new pics.

What a lovely Tuvueren pup there Kay lovely.

Mom looks great a lovely close up of a kind face. She is a lovely lovely pup though look forward to seeing the "present" day pictures.

A good friend of mine used to have two about 15 years or so ago and since then I always liked them since they are my preference above GSD's. Very nice dogs and more robust than GSD's I always thought maybe because they are not as "easy to obtain" but a high "energy" working dog and not for everyone.

I also like the Groenendael can't quite take to the look of the Malinois which is odd as I usually prefer short haired dogs but not the BS...but I do like the look of the Laekenois ......odd eh? but my preference on looks alone would be the Groenendael and Tervuren.

Are you thinking of showing at all..?

I too prefer the Tervs or Groenies. Don't like the Mals and can't quite make my mind up on the Laekenois. Acquired taste I think!! I love GSD's as well but the BSDs just tip the balance for me and not as many problems with hips. Having said that Kita will be hip scored in June. Fingers crossed there. She comes from good lines as far as hips are concerned so should be ok.

I used to show a BSD about 15 years ago as well as a chihuahua!!! One extreme to the other. I don't think I will probably go back down that avenue as the cat shows keep me very busy but never say never.

Kita is beautiful Kay, how long have you had her?

We have had her nearly 5 months. She settled in so well and now really enjoys eating the other two dogs we have!!!!!! She loves the Persians but can't quite make out what Rosie, our Oriental, is supposed to be especially when she opens her mouth. Kita's expression is hilarious it's like 'Oh my goodness what is it mum????'
