Emma, are you worried about the cats and their claws on an electric blanket? I've always wanted one, but mine have always slept with me .. and knead a lot!

No worries at all Eileen, it is an electric underblanket which you lay on and as we have a nice thick duvet ontop no chance of the cats clawing it.

Thank, Emma. May look into one, it's been so bitterly cold lately. I always worried about them electrocuting themselves/me, causing a fire or blowing all the fuses.....

I think they are a lot better than they use to be Eileen, just purchase a new one and replace after 5 years or so. The one we have you can also wash in a washing machine.

I suspect you unplug it from the mains first....the blanket I mean...;)Seriously Eileen a few people I know have the electric underblankets and have cats and they are fine.

The one we have is great -it has a fast preheat setting (warms up really fast) and then it has a setting you can keep it on all night (just a very low warm setting)

It also has dual controls and individual timers.
