........... there's quite a noise, so OH or I rush out - two little faces look up at us ........... "Who me, Officer? Never - airtight alibi, I was out of the country at the time! It must have been him/her ...."   (if they knew how to point to the other, they would). Now, if I could only get a photo of "that look", but I doubt I ever will.

Does anyone else have such a photo?

Not a photo no, but I so know what you mean by "that" look, we get it here a lot too!

Do you mean this one? The wide-eyed look of complete innocence..."Who, me? "

Now there's an innocent face if I ever saw one! What had she been accused of????

It occurs to me that the eyes are always in fact wide with that look...good call.

Knocking over the tin of dried food. She said the mice did it!!

Blasted mice!
We often get that look from Kuan Yin when we are in the bedroom and all of a sudden a ruckus of items falling in the living room causes us to run out and see if the Apocalypse has indeed arrived.
It's the wide eyed look and then the casual "I'm just sitting here grooming myself" indifference to follow

You've nailed that perfectly, Tink!

You mean the 'who- ME?' look I think. Tolly does it so well he never gets the blame!

Complete innocence! How could you possibly suspect him? Innocent as a new born babe..... And people say cats don't have expressive faces .......

Yes, you're right - it's the wide eyed "butter wouldn't melt" look.

I absolutely :smt049 that picture of Tolly, cats' staff. Would it be OK for me to copy it to my computer?

Of course Angie, we'd be honoured. I can email it to you if that is easier

Thanks cats'staff - I think I can just save it from the above posting. I'll let you know if I have any trouble. I have a little folder of Catsey cats that I go and tickle every now and then!

Edit to say: all saved safely. I think I love the picture so because of the warm wood tones in it and that contrasts so well with Tolly's tuxedo - do I remember right that your OH took it?

Yes he is a professional photographer but usually photographs holes in the ground or artefacts. I'm pretty sure that's one of his.
