Read this today: didn't know about the freezing. Interesting!

How to get the most out of the candles you light this holiday season. Keep your candles in the freezer. This will make them last a lot longer and help prevent them from dripping. Caution: Do not freeze scented candles, as freezing traps the scent. There are tricks to having a clean burning candle. Don't trim your wicks with scissors. To prevent black residue from forming on the wick or the glass container, turn the candle over after it completely dries, take a tissue and pull off any black residue on the wicks. Keep candles away from drafts in your house, that might come from windows, fans or heating or cooling vents. Drafts make the flame flicker and force the candle to burn unevenly, which may affect the longevity of the candle.

......... that's if I have any room left in the freezer! Very interesting Eileen - I love candles too. I prefer the plain ivory coloured ones. I have a lovely little cat candle someone gave me as a present, but I have never been able to bring myself to light it!
