I was sitting in the bath tonight , with Merlin sitting on the laundry basket watching me, purring away, he had a quizzical look on his face, as if to say, "what are you doing"!so got me thinking, he always looks lovely, smell lovely and has really soft fur, what does he do, wet his paw and gives himself a lick over...

Yes Moli, but just think how long a cat takes to have a thorough wash and brush up - and if we started licking our hands it would take a lot longer and we'd end up with a really dry mouth ....... no, sorry, I'd rather get in the shower!

same here. the thought of liking my self all over does not apill. but i would love to be able to bend that much.

Yes, imagine being that flexible! I suppose it's the lack of a collarbone. But I agree with Angie ... rather get in the shower.
