Hi!

My vet changed my cat's flea treatment last year from Frontline Spot-on to Advocate Spot-on as there have been so many complaints about the Frontline not doing its job.....

Pleased to say, I have no complaints with this brand:)

There are alternatives - my vet also had complaints about Frontline and now Kizzy has Stronghold and Pip has Advantage - both only available through vets.

I had a bad experience with Frontline not working, so I do appreciate your problems.

Is that frontline combo or just the frontline. I am limited what i can use because of guinness size as front sail it works for cats upto 6kg

I think frontline S/O is rubbish now & that's official! :-D

Frontline spray does the trick though ;)

Advantage / Stronghold would be a better alternative though

I think frontline cat is still so popular because ( I think I'm right in saying) its the only one that kills ticks.

I use Advocate - it is available for bigger cats too! My cat is over 1 stone!! ;) (Not over weight, just a big boy - says the vet).

I use Advocate too and Solomon doesn't mind! One of my previous cats. Susie, nearly went beserk if I tried to treat her with Frontline, as soon as I snapped the cap off she was away!

I used Frontline once when Leia was a kitten, and she reacted as if something was irritating her eyes very badly,. never used it since.
