He was sick twice last night, spent half the night sat up with him :(

So far today he's just not interested in food, don't know whether he's eaten something he shouldn't or what :(

I'll see how he is Monday, if he's still not eating then then I'll have to phone the vet.

Hope he's better; may have been something he ate outside. Let us know, please; hugs to you both.

Update: he's had a little bit of pork just now and he's drinking his water like it's going out of fashion

What little he's eaten so far he's brought it straight up again :( partly digested food with a green tinge to it :(

Good that he's keeping fluids down. The main worry with vomitting is deydration. I hope he gets better soon otherwise yes, a vet visit might be a good idea.

Good that he's drinking. Have you tried something bland like chicken or steamed fish ..can't remember if he will eat fish....

Looks like a vet trip is on order, as you said. If even hand-feeding won't tempt them, you know they're not well. Poor Dylan,

He's still drinking a fair bit, but making no effort to eat at all, not even doing his usual cheeky thing and trying to pinch food off our plates :(

I'll be phoning the vet literally as soon as they open tomorrow and get him an appointment :(

Is it possible he might drink some broth?

He might do, he's been drinking like a fish today :( (hope it doesn't mean he's got anything nasty wrong:( )

No luck with the broth DM - he's sniffed it then turned away :( he's going to the vets this evening. He's desperate for food but can't seem to face eating it :(

The update of all that is the vet thinks it's a tummy bug so Dylan's had 2 injections to help that and he's back on antacids.

Since getting back and since I got the antacid fluid down him, he's had half a pouch of Sheba cat food and his drinking's just about back to normal :-D

Did you get to the vet? What did they say?

Edit to say, whoops - posted at the same time! Good that the vet has hopefully identified the problem. Let's hope he bounces back very soon :-)

He seems to be getting back to his old tricks yola, about 5 minutes ago he decided to go out and straight away was back at the cat flap with a mouse  :-D

Call me melodramatic or whatever but I thought that Dylan was going to at best have to be left at the vets and at worst die

I do come out with dumb things

Not dumb at all; caring. We do worry so when they're ill, and tend to imagine the worst case scenario. At least I do .....

Glad to hear about the pouch full of food and the mouse too! Poor lad must have been hungry. Does the vet have any thoughts on why Dylan has a recurring problem with acid tummy?

Phoenix
03-11-2009, 12:18 AM
If he does have any ideas angie he's not said why to me apart from first time it was due to the tablets. We think he ate something he shouldn't have this time  or a tummy bug

Just a thought - Yola has posted about using Slippery Elm Bark for Balie. I wonder if it would help Dylan?
