The kittens are all feeding well now. They are on Whiskas Kitten wet pouches and love them. There 9wks old and have 4 meals a day a quarter of a pouch each a meal is that enough or too much. They also have whiskas milk as well. i dont want too over feed them but i also dont want too under feed them

As usual, I don't know, never having reared kittens but sure someone will be along soon to offer some wisdom! Bless the little ones, sounds as if they're
really thriving! Is mum still feeding them occasionally?

My fosters always get 3 pouches a day, and always had kitten biscuits down as well....

I know there only young but they have a huge appitete now which i am so pleased aobut. they have seperate dishes so i can equal it out but that doesnt always work as they tend to finish there's and start on the others. If one is enjoying there food an another starts to eat it they growl or tap them on the head. They also know where i keep the food and sit by it and cry. I dont know if there hungry or greedy. Yes mum is feeding them once a day we do stop her but she usualy does it when we arnt watching. Its not the babies but Maisey she has something to eat then calls for her babies to come for a feed. I have put them on the kitten milk to try and discourage them from doing it. I usualy lick the kitchen door when i get there breakfast and the other morning put it out and in they came one by one by one. They even try to pinch the adults food if they get the chance as well

I would give them at least 3 pouches a day Kado, and put a dish of biscuits down for them, make sure they always have access to water....

There on at least a pouch each per day. They love there water. I cant put a dish of biscuits down the other cats would eat them and i darent let Masiey eat anything but lamb whiskas or it starts her bowels off.

If they eat it and are looking for more they aren't getting enough, if they leave it they are having too much.......

If they eat it all and aren't looking for more, you've got it right. Although 1/4 pouch per meal per kitten doesn't sound a lot to me as they will now be having a growth spurt at this age.

Personally I wouldn't give them the milk at all.

Thanks for that smudgley. I gave them a third of a pouch each this morning and they seem fine and didnt look for more. I did give them the milk but not every meal a bottle lasts all the cats a day and then no more. Kado loves his milk and every now and then gets it has a treat.
