Dylan had some sheba wet cat food this evening and he brought it up in the kitchen :( I was hoping to get the vet to test Dylan's blood group tomorrow ready to donate blood. Would that still be ok for the vet to do?

I'm pretty sure it would still be OK unless he's showing particularly unwell. Sometimes cats are a little too greedy with their feeding and it all comes back up again!

Yes - sometimes they just upchuck and it's nothing to worry about. I'd just tell the vet before the blood test and let him or her decide whether it's still OK.

Poor Dylan - has he had Sheba food before or was it meant as a treat?

I decided to leave having the blood test until next time he goes just in case. He's had sheba before, think he'd been out hunting (bodies in the garden)

I suspect it was a case of eating too fast and upchucking; mine all have done it at one time or another with no ill effects. If he seems OK otherwise and eats normally I wouldn't worry too much. But you know your own cat; hope he'll be all right.

One of my cats is often sick and been checked by the vet several times. I agree that they often eat too quickly. My vet once told me that Sheba is a very rich cat food.

How is he now, RCR? He seems to be a lot better now but sulking because he wants to try apple and raspberry juice *RCR sighs*
