Well I am glad to say that my parents have got a new puppy - her name is Poppy and she is a Yellow lab - only 4 weeks old at the moment so she is still with her mum.

No pictures at present but when I get some I will post them up. Haven't meet her yet but she looks like a smashing little (rather plump :-D ) puppy. Think of the Andrex puppy and you are almost there.

My parents have already been out buying things for her (and they only saw her today for the first time) I said to my dad today, "she will be spoilt then", and he said "she certainly will" :)

So so pleased for them.

I'm pleased they have taken the plunge.
A doggy house is horribly empty without a dog

Hi Dawn, the mum is a very pale yellow and the father has a darker coat but still yellow, why?

Sorry Ive only just remembered this Emma. It was just the pup lacks pigment round his eyes, they should be black, this often happens when yellows are mated to chocolates, or if the breeding is yellow and chocolate in the first couple generations.

Thats interesting Dawn, I love the colour breeding variations the genetics of colour understand it in Staffs never really tried to understand it in other breeds of dogs.

very interesting Dawn - the parents are definately both yellow. I will see if I can find out of any of the grand parents are chocolate.

Well Poppy has been in her home now for a couple of days and already has my dad wrapped around her little finger, took a picture of her yesterday which I think sums up her personality :)
