View Full Version : Is Kizzy a "Torbie"?

I've been trying to get a good picture that shows the colours and markings on her back. I think she's a torbie - what do you think?

(If you think she's put on a bit more weight than is good for her, I agree. She's on a diet!)

Well Angie she certainly has a lot of brown in her coat. Certainly looks like she could be a Torbie.

She's got almost "gingery russety" bits too that don't show that well!

She's gorgeous, I'd describe her as a dark-misty tortoiseshell.
I don't think we've got enough proper colour descriptions for our cats.
There are all sorts of 'colour names' for dogs and in fact for horses, so why can't we have proper colour specifics for our gorgeous felines? :? :?
Ideas anyone?

She has the tabby rings on her tail, the tabby M, rings on her legs and bracelets on her chest; don't remember if she has a spotty tummy. And her coat is brindled: colors all mixed together rather than in tabby stripes. So, she's a brown torbie as far as I can see! A beautiful one, too!

Oh she is a little beauty! I'm no expert, but she looks like all tabby to me; she seems to have distinct body stripes. But then, our cats don't always read the descriptions of coat patterns they're supposed to show!

Then I'm not sure, from the angle of the pic it looks like stripes. Whatever, Cass is a gorgeous cat!

Kizzy has a few blurred spots where her darker fur meets her tummy fur, which is a pale apricot colour, but does not have what I would call a spotted tummy. Her fur is also very silky and I need to go and give her a little stroke NOW! :-D

I am useless in colour describing but I will say Kizzy is a beauty....whatever her coat description. And most of all she looks ultra contented.

She's a complete poppet Kazz and I think of you and Smudgley every day and thank you both! OH is potty about her (Kizzy that is, not Smudgley!) :lol: :lol: :lol:

I am useless in colour describing but I will say Kizzy is a beauty....whatever her coat description. And most of all she looks ultra contented.

I am abit like that as well Kazz, not good with naming colours and markings:lol: :lol: , but Kizzy is certainly one beautiful looking kitty:D
