The RSPCA should be able to help; they have long-handled grabbers with which they can get puss down. I'm sure I saw something on TV whereby they rescued a young cat from up a tall tree.

Does the fire brigade do cats in trees there, BM? Some of ours here will do ....

Poor puss!

Yes, I would suggest the fire brigade, they're usually helpful and might be quicker off the mark than the RSPCA.

Whichever, I do hope puss gets down safely.

Uuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm..........RSPCA.....:?

Let us know how you get on... otherwise it is the good old fashioned, trainers, jeans & thick t-shirt, cat carrier & ladder scenario.... by the way in general as you go up... they come down so have the owner on standby with food & a blankie for snuggles!!!

Good luck!!!

You could get an Arborist to get the cat down if it is a very high tree.

Good luck I hope the kitty comes down safetly

Now that Salem's back down safely (again!!), I can post this quote which I hesitated to do before in case of sounding insensitive:

No one has ever found a cat skeleton in a tree......
