Oh wow - I do want to keep more chooks! It must be lovely to have them from the egg as it were - I would think they get very used to being handled?

My goodness! Have I missed a post ....... did you (or rather your hens:oops:) hatch these little cuties, Smudgley? :shock:

The little chicks are adorable........ and equally adorable grown up!:D

So how many chickens have you got now?

Thanks all.
Mags - we incubated some eggs and have been experimenting with different breeds, will sell surplus ones.
Have got 8 big hens and several youngsters. :cool:

I just love them, Is the orpington the broody you brought home recently? Lovely chook. (actually they're all lovely chooks!)

Yes, the big Buff one is. She is broody again now. :roll:

She is ahving 3 duck eggs, which a friend has asked me to incubate for him. She's very settled & has been broody a while, so will give her the eggs today.... 28 sleeps to go :roll:
