Prayers and well wishes needed

Went to see Nadia today as she is off on her hol's on thursday and yours trully will be bird sitting. Sinbad, macaw, is very poorly. He was rushed to the vets this morning as he is very lethargic and off his food. This afternoon Nadia crop fed him which is something I would not be able to do for fear of doing some serious damage to him because it is basically getting a tube down into his crop and feeding directly.
If he is no better in the next day or so Nadia will either cancel her holiday or see if the avian vet can look after Sinbad, so please keep everything crossed that the birdy gets better whether he is with me or with the vet.
His mate, Yasmin, is missing him at the moment but he has to be kept apart from her as her fussing will stress him. Yasmin is a very boisterous macaw and does on ocassion pick on Sinbad, so care must be taken at this time.

Thanx every one, just makes me worry. It was about this time last year that the amazon took ill and sadly died, I certainly dont want to go through that again.
It would be a shame if she had to cancel her holiday and I hope it doesnt come to that but I would feel better if the vet were to take care of him until she got home.

Spoke with Nadia last night, Sinbad has perked up but I am still worried about looking after him while she is away.
Anyway, I am going to see her late afternoon today. Her partner wont be leaving the Uk until Saturday and Nadia leaves tomorrow. I will move in on saturday as I feel uncomfortable enough living in other peoples homes as it is.

Just back from Nadias, have seen Sinbad, he looks much better than he did earlier this week and is taking his meds like a good boy, so I feel a little better about Nadia going and leaving me in charge. Fingers crossed he doesnt take a downward turn in her absense and it may even give me a chance to bond with him a little.

Well, it's taken me nearly all day to get Sinbad to take the last of his meds:roll: but we got there in the end. He is certainly much more lively, squaking and trashing his toys, so I asume thats a good thing:lol:
Whisper, one of the gala's, looked a little shabby today, it might be the heat but Nadia called so I told her and have now given him a little vitamins to perk him up.
