Please could everyone check their social engagements and those of their feline companions and vote for a date that would be most convenient to hold the Cats' Summer Ball?

Well, I can't change my vote on the computer, but please change it to Alex's date...I certainly want her to be able to attend, and any date is OK with me.

Bentley and Chester would like to offer their services as escorts and dance partners but are unavailable for the first two dates offered as their humans are away (AGAIN) and they will be incarcerated!

Cleo is a bit shy but an elder cat who just wanted to gently lick her before a sleep would be acceptable-dates not important

I am sure no one will mind if Cleo wants to sit and watch or even doze. I am sure Jane Austen's feline equivalent would mention groups of older gentlecats sitting at the side of the ballroom watching the youngsters as adding a certain note of gentility!

(I am struggling to remember the name of JA's feline equivalent - and would be glad if someone else can remember! :oops: )

[this sort of mental exercise stops me from getting attacks of screaming ab-dabs!]
