Near one of our fields is an old curling pond surrounded by rhododendrons. Took some pics of them this morning. They really are magnificent for a 'weed'.

What a lovely place to live in Calismum. Perhaps you could host the Summer Ball at yours? Plenty of room for a grand marquee!

I love that tree too - does it have a character associated?

We have lots of room for a marquee. Alfie would be so excited if his home was considered in the list of potential venues.

I'm probably being particularly dense (tree)- but what do you mean

Spectacular display of rhododendrons. And that twisted tree is full of character: what sort is it?

What a lovely place you live in! Marvellous for an outdoor ball!

It's just that special trees sometimes do - it has a lot to do with how they look, for example, I did the same bus route for years and years and there was a particular old tree covered in old man's beard along the way. It looked like a witch and so that's what I associated it with.

To me, your tree looks more like one of those beautiful Indian dancers ............ it could look like something entirely different to you!

PS. Any Glow-worm agencies in your area?

DM I have no idea what type it is, some type of fir or spruce I'd imagine. There are loads of them up there of all sorts of shapes and sizes. I love them.

I think our place may be on a list of potential venues, but I agree it could be quite magical.

Ah - got what you mean now. I always think of grey, wispy misty tendrils threading in and around the trunk, yes, bit like dancing I suppose. There are lots of these trees up in that area and I just always feel a magical air around them.

I'm sure I seen a glow worm agency in the neighbouring village!
