I do so hope they all find good homes Smudgley -

Just out of interest - have you ever done a count of males/females - there just seem to be many more females looking for homes in the ads I've looked at.

We work on a priority basis - so pregnant cats take priority, or moms with litters, so we usually have a lot of adult females that have been pregnant with us. Adult male cats unfortunately are our lowest priority, after pregnant cats, kittens & the elderly cats, that is why we don't have many. :( However we have lots & lots on the waiting list and will take them in if we have no high priority cats waiting. Other rescues may work the same as us, taking in more urgent cases first. Leaving the adult males low on the priority list.

Yep, we work exactly the same way. It's sad this is how it has to be, but mums and kittens come first.

Well if you met him, you'd love him or hate him. He is a real character, but a right grumpy sod! It's all on his terms and he's lovely when he wants to be, put he smacks you hard with his paws/claws! ouch.

Awww, poor fellow, I daresay I'd be grumpy too if I were stuck in a shelter, no matter how nice, when I wanted a home of my own to be fussed over and spoiled! :-D

She is a good girl, in fact she has a litter of puppies the same age as the kittens (they are just on her right in their whelping box)
