Can you tell what it is yet?!?

Dog is put on a drip and prepared to go to surgery straight away.
In the small intestine, we found this!

You can't really see from that photo but the nut was about an inch wide  We think it came from a tractor, it never ceases to amaze me the things that dogs will eat!

The culpirt the next day, looking a bit sorry for herself but feeling lots better!

Dogs (esp Labs) are the pits for eating strange things. Cali has had a similar op due to eating stones. The one removed was size of small golfball. I wouldn't want to mention what she still eats!

Lucky girl that her owners brought her in.

Just to add, this was late on Thursday afternoon, by this morning she was up and bouncing around, asking for breakfast! She went home this afternoon :D

Yup, Labs are notorious 'hoovers'! We have clients with one who has been known to swallow socks she's taken off the children's feet

Amazing! But interesting. No self-respecting cat would do that! :-D
But glad she's OK now.

I'm glad she's OK! I wonder what's going to fall off the tractor for the lack of that nut ............ ?

We have a fantastic x-ray of a cat who swallowed a key at our vets. He was being kept in as he had been involved in a car accident and obviously got bored. It is such a clear x-ray, they is no guessing as to what it is.

Labs, however will eat anything, or at least ours will.:)
