I was looking out of the window when i saw him fall out. He seemed stunned and he is subidude. He has just eaten hasnt got any cuts and isnt crying out at all it litelary just happened OH said he doesnt need to go to the vets he will if i think he has to though. what signs should i look out for. I hate it when they go out and just told Oh i wanted them in but OH said cats are cats and its cruel to keep them locked up.

Sorry to hear that Jane, I hope he's ok.

Can you feel all over his body to see if he reacts to a certain spot where he may have bruised himself?

How tall was the tree?

He doesnt hurt anywhere he just a bit shocked. I would say its just a bit higher than 6ft.

Cats are very good at landing on their feet. The problem is sometimes they smack their nose on the ground and can split their palate. Check inside his mouth to make sure he is ok there.

Agree to check him all over and make sure he doesn't react to any sore points.

Cats often have the knack of landing on their feet so he may be ok other than a bit shaken up.

To be on the safe side, I would keep him indoors for the rest of the night and see how he is in the morning...

If he has eaten and hasn't been sick I would think he'd be all right overnight. Check him thoroughly as the others have said. Keep him in overnight definitely. See how he is in the morning.

Oh what a fright, I would be so upset to see either of my two fall out of a tree, glad to hear that he appears OK, I would certainly keep him in so that you can keep an eye on him.

He seems fine. He has been purring away and gone to sleep upstairs in the girls bedroom with Troy and Lucky. I just panicked when i saw him fall a stupid woman even laughed at him.

How terribly scary! But if he's eating OK and doesn't seem to have any broken bones or excessively sore spots and isn't limping, I'd wait and see how he is tomorrow. How high was the tree he fell from?

Hope all is well after a quiet night's restorative sleep - it heals so much!

He seems fine. I sneeked him out of the girls bedroom and slept on the settee down stairs with him. He has eaten and drank and used the litter tray as well. I know i panicked but because it was so close to Kays anversary and a year yesterday that we got them i thought not again.
Thank you all for you support it helped me alot.

So glad he's OK Jane. It's natural to panic, especially after an accident like that.

That's great news, Jane. Tell Chester not to do it again!
