Well, I talked to Dr. Monroe just now and there was just one red flag in Baby Bear's bloodwork. His kidney values are high. I guess the high end of the range is 0.8 and he is 1.1.
She wants him to start a medication/supplement that she gives to cats with kidney issues. Basically it binds up the toxins and allows the animal to secrete them through its feces.
We're going to do this for a month and then do a recheck and see what his kidney values are doing.
She thinks that he may have a genetic defect that makes his kidneys just not 100% . We're basically going to experiment with this supplement, see what his kidney values do, and go from there. She just wants to make sure it doesn't go up any more.

Sounds as if you have a very good and caring vet. Hope the medication will get his values down where they belong, or at least, not worsen...thanks for the update.
