Today, after three months of coaxing and patience, Koko let me scratch her head, and she purred.

She is lovely and looks like the aloof cat you've described! Guess she is thinking about putting on a good front either to encourage you to get the Bengal or to put you off getting him. Now, I wonder which interpretation is correct??????
