Been working hard in garden over weekend and thought I'd share some pics.
Managed to sink the stepping stones so that I can mow over them. The young silver birch are in the tree protecters.

'Mushroom corner' trimmed back all the grasses and added the other mushrooms that visitors have brought

Those are great pics; nice to see how the garden is progressing. You've done a lot of work there. I love the mushroom corner, what a nice idea! And the fritillaries look great, never grown them but now I think I might get some.

Thank you Mags, problem is the exposure brings strong winds and severe weather.

But I agree, when I have a break it is lovely to sit back and just look at the view.

I shan't say how envious I am, but let's just say that it's not only my fingers that are green lol!

CM - that really is a lovely garden. I think the way you've 'zoned' it works very well. I too love 'mushroom corner'. What's the thinking behind that (sorry if I've missed something)?

Sorry Yola - no you haven't missed anything The field next to the house used to have some lovely Elm trees, all of which we lost due to dutch elm disease.

A local man made me the lage mushrroms from one of our trees. I was so pleased with them that I decided to make them a feature of the corner where I had planted grasses etc. A few friends then brought me some mushrom garden ornaments when they came for the weekend a month or so ago. Rather than spread them around the garden I 'created' mushroom corner - glad you like it.

What a busy bee you have been. Looks really really nice:D

Thanks Elaine

I saw some mushroom ornaments at the flea market last Summer; will keep an eye out when I next go on a Sunday; I love that idea!

That's lovely - using the wood to make the ornament. It must make it very special.
