My brother rang this morning and told me milo has gone missing :( robin has a cat flap but its always locked as he only lets the cat out while hes with them. He got up this morning and the cat flap had been broken open and milo and tinks food (which is kept by back door an cat flap) had been tipped over an was scattered all over the floor. Tink was hiding behind the sofa and milo had gone. Robin has been out calling him, put a litter tray and food outside but still no sign of milo. This is very out of character for milo,he never goes futher than the back garden and is never out for longer than half an hour at a time! Robin has rang around the local vets and is out walkin the streets calling him now. Please keep your fingers crossed that my baby goes home soon :(

Of course Erin, my thoughts are with you, obviously.
Hopefully he may be hiding somewhere, frightened, and might slip back when he thinks things are quiet

Fingers and toes crossed that your little poppet returns safe and sound. Sounds like a break-in by a local thug-cat . . .

Poor Milo, are there any sheds or bushes he could be hiding under near by? As DM said he may just be very frightened by the experience and lying low until he feels safe to come out.
Have everything crossed for his safe return xxx

Just back from my brothers, 2 hours of calling for him, shaking food and more calling for him, I got quite excited when I heard a little meow coming from the garden at the back, but it wasnt Milo :( a young tabby cat jumped up to see what all the shouting was about.
We have been and knocked at every house on the street but nobody has seen him :( People who had sheds checked them but nothing, my poor baby :(

I should have found a way to keep him and Tinkerbell with me, this wouldnt have happened then.

My brother said that Milos been very quiet for a few days now, and that he thinks its because a big black tom cat from down the road has been hanging around the garden. I saw this cat while I was out the back calling for Milo, hes huge!!!

I really do hope that he's just hiding out somewhere and he'll go home when hes due his dinner!!

WE HAVE A MILO CAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went right round my brothers after work, we spent hours again, walking the streets and calling out, the weather was awful. Anyway we had no luck so went back to his, had a quick drink before we had to leave to collect my nephew from his moms.
We went back an hour later to find a tabby tail and white back legs sticking out of an royal canin bag  out popped a very dirty and very wet but unharmed Milo :D He immediately jumped down off the side and started screaming out for food, poor starving baby. So after a pouch of food he let me dry him off and give him a look over, he appears to be fine, there are no apparent signs of any injuries but im taking him to the vets to get checked over tomorrow just to be safe.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts :)

I am so pleased to hear this has had a good outcome - I hope the vet doesn't find anything untoward.

I'm sure after a good nights rest and a big feed he'll be just fine.

Welcome home Milo

I only just found this thread myself and was holding my breath as I read through - so pleased for you all that Milo s back - gosh, our four legged friends really take years off us don t they! Quite amazing that a heavy cat can break in through a cat flap but have heard of it before - has your brother done anything to the flap to prevent it happening again? Jan x

Welcome Home Milo!.. Erin you must be so relieved!

I'm with jan... only just reading through this thread... and am VERY happy that Milo has come home..... if only he could talk and tell you where he'd been... got me thinking about a big ginger tom that we have in our neighbourhood... he is an absolute brute... one without too much grey matter im sure as he constantly tries to charge his way through our steel mesh security door to get inside to our cats..he's a feral im sure... no collar and not fixed... have tried to catch him in a cage so we can take him and get him fixed but he's smart enough to avoid it!
