Just remebered an article I read a while back.

Domestic cats have been part of human social life for anything from 600,000 to 3,000,000 years. However, we did not domesticate them. The wild cat saw this strange species called human livivng in peculiar shaped structures, preparing food and interacting with others of the species and thought it would be a good idea to tag along and get friendly.

When cats showed they could get rid of the vermin stealing food stocks and liked being stroked and petted, humans took a liking to this new animal and adopted them as part of the family. The Egyptians, as all good cat nutters should know, took this liking to the ultimate and made them gods.

Science has now proved that petting a cat is very positive to human health, especially stress, heart rate etc. It is now aslo thought that cats purr as a form of bonding communication between themselves and humans.

Remember, the dog looked at man and saw someone who fed him, walked him, groomed him and took him into their home, and the dog thought "this human must be a god". The cat looked at man and saw someone who fed him, groomed him, petted him and took him into their home and thought " I must be a god".:D
