Another little e-mail query you may be able to help me with please

At the bottom left of my inbox page I have always had the number of e-mails.

I am currently working through deleted some & find it very useful to have the numer of items showing.

I realsied tosay that it isn't there anymore (I don't know when it disappeared) anyway, do you know how I can get it back?

thnks.

I can't see the difference between when the status bar is ticked and when it isn't, except there's a grey line (like a tool bar across the bottom) Still no numbers though. I wonder if there's a problem with the laptop then?

strange , so the bar isn't missing its just the item number.
Is this the case on all folders , deleted , draft etc?
Its not the laptops fault , its dodgy Microsoft software.

yes all the folders are the same. There's a grey tool bar, but nothing on it. I really use that number thing to try & keep myself on track for deleting e-mails  as I like to keep it below a certain number

Matt - Shall I shut it down & restart? Do you think that may make any difference?

You know computers its worth a try :-) . my clients laugh when i tell them to restart the machine.

I have another few things you can try, once you are rebooted.

this is weird... I shut it down & when I logged back in - I went into e-mails without going on-line... the numbers are there, then I logged into the on-line bit (have to go through a tunnel to access the works on-line stuff if you are working from a site other than your permanent one) well when I log in there, the numbers are not there. :?
