It's a very pale green, the flash makes it look sort of creamy (no sunlight today!) Actually I'm surprised it bloomed, hasn't for two years because it was making offset bulbs instead. I separated and potted them, so got a flower this year...only one stalk with two blossoms, but nice to see it again.

Isn't that also called a 'Green Goddess'? Quite ethereal and magical looking.

Yes, that's it's name! I'm a big amaryllis fan, do you grow them also?

Most of my gardening knowledge comes from books, but yes I have grown a green goddess. Mum thought it was a waste because it wasn't as flamboyant as some of my othere lilies. Mainly pot grown....

Some of the big Dutch amaryllis are really spectacular, especially the large dark red ones. A pity they're not fragrant like lilies. All mine are in pots and Summer outdoors on the patio; many rebloom year after year.

Some of my pots sort of exploded in the really cold snap we had, Somerset doesn't normally do very cold..... so I need to repot. But sadly I am a fair weather gardener at best, and it ain't fair enough yet!

Washington gets too cold for them to stay outside in the Winter, so all the tender plants come inside, including the agapanthus. We're had an unusually cold Winter this year, I'm more than ready for Spring. I'm very lucky that Leia doesn't bother plants at all' my tortie, Patches, ate spider plants and little palm trees!
