Got my roses today, more lidl bargins, I mean £1.49 each how could I not? And as I was after roses anyway...

So I got Queen Elizabeth (pink) and Pascali (white) and my dad will keep me right on the pruning and such, how and when, but as long as they flower i'm not fussed, i'm not wanting to win prizes or anything, they are primarily to help in obscuring the slabbed dog loo area. Last thing you need to see when you are eating alfresco is a squatting dog. :-D

So will probably get them out on wednesday if it's fine as that's my official day off and out gardening day now and will get the peach tree out then too.

What is next on my list, hmmm.

Some nice smelling herbs I think?

Those are nice roses! Hope the weather cooperates and you can get them in the border. Fragrant herbs: rosemary, lavender, oregano, thyme.

I love Roses but unable to have them with my kids and the risk of injury.

Happy planting :)

I love roses they are soooooo pretty and smell gorgeous but with being a childminder with lots of toddlers that are prone to falling in the borders I can`t have any.
LUCKY YOU ;)

It's raining just now but will take pictures as soon as I get them out, not that there is much to look at just yet!

I have also been contemplating a small pond, now my son is older, but that would be next year anyway!

Oooh it's very exciting!

Sounds lovely Kel, I've never got on with roses - my Mum used to have loads of them and I was always snagging skin or clothes on the thorns . . . made me sneeze too  !!

Just be careful about putting delicates out too early as I think we're promised frost and snow in the newxt few days

Thanks Yola, they are down the far end of the garden and i'll give them a go, if I don't get on with them after a few years I can always try something else.

I know, just when we thought the frost was over eh? I'm going to put closhes over them anyway like the fruit bushes. Well, the fruit bushes have lemonade bottles but there you go. Same job!
