I'll be using this thread for any pictures I get of Dylan venturing outside.

I've got three at the moment, but Dylan doesn't venture outside very often so you'll have to bear with me on this thread.

He went out the front door, round the side of the house to the cat flap round the back door.

I'm doing my best to encourage him outside! :-He'll go out for about five minutes then wants to be in again :roll:

Ah, he's gorgeous. He'll prob stay out more when weathers better, in this weather i think we're all out and back in ASAP!

Even with no snow he's still out then straight in again! :shock: :roll:

Thanks HK! :-D Dylan doesn't like being outside in the snow and isn't keen on being outside longer than is necessary (opposite of Beauty - she practically lived outside apart from when there was a lot of snow!)

Dylan ventured further today in the garden! :-D He spent the whole afternoon outside! :-D

He pays visits to the neighbours for attention and strokes :roll:

It was exciting, especially when he saw a bird landing near the bird bath! :lol: He crouched down watching it for a while, until it flew off. :D

The vet said if Dylan leaves his stitches alone he can keep his collar and his bandage off. :-D

Nice to see him being outside enjoying the sun and not to be able to go after those nasty rats who bite! Glad to hear he's leaving his stitches alone.

good to hear his wound is healing nicely and he is not practising his stitch removal skills... how long did it take you to train him to use the harness/leash... i want to train Harri as we have decided that we would like to take her away with us when we go in the van... and for that to happen she would have to be leash trained

Well done for getting him used to a harness RCR - did it take long? He really looks very comfortable wearing it. Glad to hear that he is leaving his stitches alone.

He looks gorgeous and confident! My old cat was like that. She would only go out to do her business, then back in.

Jo, when you start harness training them as kittens it doesn't take long and they just take it as a fact of life that this is the way we go outdoors. All of mine but Leia have been harness trained; even one I rehomed who had been an outside cat. PM me if I can answer any questions ........

Dylan took to wearing the harness straight away, we think he wore a harness in his old home.

The harness came from our local pet shop.

He's looking very kittenish in those pictures RCR! I put Kizzy's harness on for about 3 minutes today indoors. She was OK with it, but the lead was a bit more of a trial because she wanted to play with it! Little and often I think to start.

He's back to being indoor/outdoor now, didn't settle to being an indoor cat so now we are letting him out during the day and he stays in at night as always.

What a handsome boy RCR!!! :)

I am having to keep my Tribe in at the moment as I have discovered several dead foxes in my area, possibly with mange but definately shot!!!! :mad:

Just daren't risk them getting injured or mange.... :(

May try the harness thing in particular with Baldie so he can go shimmy in the sun shine! Good going! ;)

He mrrps when he sees people approaching in the garden HK (It does depend on who it is though, scary children he won't mrrp at but he'll mrrp at all of us :-D )
