Here's Fifi and Myshka looking a bit concerned last week about all the furniture being moved out of the dining room:

And here's poor Fi looking very lost in an almost empty room (note seriously scabby floor):

Here's my new floor still in the kitchen . . . together with the piano

Floor partially down and looking less like a bomb site:

Floor finished today but no furniture as yet . . . but undergoing thorough inspection from himself ;)

Complete with furniture! To say I'm pleased is a major understatement! It's the first time we've really used anyone to do work around the house for us (trust and finances were always an issue), but I am over the moon with this :-D :-D :-D

It looks marvellous, Yola, what a transformation! A big job and a lot of disruption to the routine, but so worth it! No wonder you're chuffed!

So glad you're pleased with it Yola - it does look lovely. Have to remark how lovely your brickwork is!

Just lovely.
You'll enjoy that for ever, so it's well worthwhile

The brickwork is a real mystery Angie. It's a basement room and we strongly suspect the bricks are part of whatever was there prior to our house (an old map shows a sprinkling of cottage-type houses). Even an old limeworking specialist couldn't shed any light!

That is stunning what a differnce................and what a lovely time to have it done prior to Christmas.....stunning no wonder you are pleased.

The bathroom is being done here next week and it will be the first time I've had work done by someone outside apart from the central heating of course....like you trust and finances...hope mine turns out half as promising.
