You would think so with that beak, wouldn't you DM - we have a pair that feed with the other birds on the seeds, so guess they must be omnivorous.

Lovely little bird, so plump! Great pic, Angie; you get interesting visitors to your feeder. All I get are English sparrows and of course the you-know-what's!

Sorry about the bird phobia Matron - I'll remember to put a "Beware" notice on any photos in future. ;)

It's not an SLR (would like one though - always admire Borderdawn's photos, and Az's and Luke's - bet they use SLRs oh, and our new member Matt too!). Its a Panasonic Luxix DMC-FZ5 - probably out of date already as I've had it for about 2 years. I love digital cameras and think it's one of the best inventions of recent years. No waiting for all that developing and printing and then finding out your photos is rubbish!

Lovely pic - we don't get them here at all. My feeders are used by blue tits, coal tits, great tits, chaffinches, greenfinches, goldfinches and .........squirrels!
