Sorry to come here asking for your help again, but as cat lovers I know you'll understand.....

Bubs has had a congenital breathing condition since birth, but apart from being a little noisy it hasn't bothered her at all for 10 years. However, the last week or so we noticed something not right with her, her breathing seemed a little laboured and she just didn't seem 'right'.

Took her to the vet on Friday and she said she has an irregular heartbeat and laboured breathing. She has this morning been in for x-rays and blood tests. Just phoned the vets and she is coming round OK from the sedation, but they wouldn't tell me anything about the results.......seeing the vet at 4 pm to discuss it.........:?

Am so worried about her, please send healing vibes for her.......

Healing vibes for Bubbles and ((((HUGS)))) for you. Any chance that you could take a friend with you when you go to the vet?

Thanks Angie, don't worry, my husband is going with me......he'd never let me go alone. Actually Bubs is very much 'his' cat if you know what I mean.......it's always his lap she'll curl up on and she follows him around the house and garden like a loyal little doggie.........so he's going to be as upset as me if it's bad news......:?

I'm glad you're not going alone. Please include your husband in the ((((HUGS)))).

Sammy, sorry for such late wishes as I know it's almost 4 . . . I hope the news is not too bad and that the deterioration on Bubbles' condition can be treated. Big hugs to both of you and to sweet Bubbles too.

Thank you all so much..........and I feel a bit silly now....

Can you believe they can find absolutely nothing wrong with her! Still awaiting the blood tests mind, but I'm pretty certain they expected to find a huge tumour in her lungs, but her chest x-rays are clear as a bell. Vet baffled........not the first vet to be so by Bubble.......us £250 lighter  You see she makes the most incredible noises (partly why we called her Bubble!), and had loads of investigations done when she was a kitten, but no-one could ever find a definitive reason for it - some deformity of the sinuses was the best guess.......this vet has never seen or heard anything like it and was stunned by the x-rays.........

Still, she is home, ravenously hungry, but now flakers on husbands knee. Can only surmise it was an infection that the anitbiotics are now clearing up........should have the blood test results tomorrow or Wednesday, so hopefully they'll be OK.

Thanks for all your support guys, it means alot

No, please don't feel silly. It's best to overreact and find out there's nothing wrong then to dismiss something that might be potentially dangerous. I'm delighted Bubble's OK . . . . how about some more pictures of the little madam to celebrate :D
