I bought Bailey my kitten at 8 weeks, but lost my job shortly after and couldn't afford the vaccinations. I'm finally back on my feet financially and want to get it sorted. I feel terrible for not doing it sooner because I love her so much. She's now 8 months old.

Is there any way I can get her protected now?

Thanks Katie

Yes you can still get her vaccines done. You can get them done at any age past 9wks old. You shoudnt feel terrible about not having them done everybody can have changes of curcumstances at one point. Can we have some pics please.

Have you got her registered with a vet? If so I would take her along so the he could give her a check over and he would advise you about her vaccinations ........ she can still have them done now..

Let us know how you get on..:)

She's not registered either!

Do I have to go in myself before I get her registered to make an appointment.

Also has anyone got pet insurance??

You can phone any vets and the receptionist will ask you if you are registered there......... she will then take some details from you about your kitten and arrange an appointment for you to see the vet. Do you have a vet quite near to you?

That's handy then :) ...... I would give them a ring tomorrow, they may not be able to fit you in the same day if they are busy...

Great stuff! Yes, vacs can be done at anytime. I started an old bruiser ex-stray of mine off, and he must've been close to 10 years old!

Has your kitty been neutered? That's something else to talk to the vet about.

Will be letting her out after the 31st and don't want her getting caught by another cat, it's not nice. so am defo getting her spayed. especially after the story about donna's(i think) ex's cat. thats terrible

she did have the runs after but is all well now

not sure yet, probably will, depends on money, if not itll be a few days after.

is it a problem if i do?

It wouldn't be a very good idea to let her out at 8, nearly 9th months old if she hasn't been spayed...:? Keep her indoors until she's been spayed or you will most likely find your self facing extra expense if she gets pregnant.
