Well seeing as I'm feeling a bit better and the weather's dry and sunny, I thought I'd let the terrible three out for some fresh air.

Here's Myshka sweeping the fallen leaves with his tail (I wish)

Here he is with his 'photograph me' face on. Well, it would have been rude not to!! You wouldn't think I'd cleaned his eyes this morning would you?

Balie lurking at the very back of a very dark conifer corner . . . hence the unsteady, long-exposure picture

And here are two of my little old Fifi, who really is starting to look like a lil old lady. Bless her. She scuttled off back indoors shortly after. I actually think she might have been cold!

LOL! They're soft, indoor cissies

Myshka doesn't mind. I guess it's because he's only 1 1/2 years old and the others are over 11 . . . he's still hurtling about in the garden chasing leaves; Fifi and Balie have mooched back in now.

I'm glad you took the opportunity of being home and feeling a tad better to get those shots, Yola! So nice to see your three again; been a while..all gorgeous, but I do have a soft spot for Fifi! She has such a sweet face,

Oh I do love these cats! Yola, they are gorgeous :D
Sensible of Fifi and Balie to get back inside, Posh and Myshka have that wanderlust in their 'rescue' blood. She's like Steve McQueen in The Great Escape... up and over the wall before I can grab her!

I didn't realise what a gorgeous colour Fifi is! The outdoors must suit her colouring. Dear lady.

Beautiful Yola, Fifi does not look like an old lady....

She does compared to how she used to look. She's looking really 'jowly', very much really like an older woman would. She was also quite chubby and upright and is now looking a bit hunched and slightly scrawnier than she used to.

Thanks for all your lovely comments btw :-D

They are lovely! And suit the autumnal theme with their extra fluffy, cosy looking coats! Fifi really does have a gorgeous colour and such a sweet face :)

Fifi's a lilac-cream. She was a quite rare colour for a Persian when I got her at 12 weeks old. It's a strange pinky-grey mottled with creamy-white combination. But as she's got older the grey is coming through stronger (or maybe I should just give her a bath  )

Of course you will Alex . . . and I'm forever grateful that he worked his way from you, through Smudgely and Kazz down to me. He's a super little fella with masses of personality :-D

We never see enough of your three Yola lovely pictures of them.
I can't believe how much difference you have made to Myshka...he looks totaly different to the last time I saw him "screaming in my ear"

He is a credit to your love of Persians now...totaly different cat. I would not have recognised.

Karen, I was looking at his 'Chico' pictures (he still responds to the name by the way) and thinking he actually didn't look that different! So thank you for your kind comments, maybe I'm seeing with eyes that are too familiar!

He's certainly a changed boy in terms of personality . . . chatty (ok, squawky ;) ), cuddly, friendly, curious and just . . . adorable!

And yes, it's a breed that I really do have a soft spot for. Love 'em :-D

I have to admit to not being a great lover of Persians, but your Fifi is a lovely looking girlie (old lady or not so old lady!). Her fur colour is beautiful.

Can you tell me whether she has a slightly more prominent nose than your other two, for example? Or was it just the angle of your photo?

yola

Angie, yes . . . she is what is called a 'doll-faced' persian. Her snout is far more elongated that the boys', infact the pictures don't do justice to the actual difference, she is facially, quite distinct from the perfect persian 'type'.

I think her breeder tended towards this style though. Even though her lineage had won awards, Gayle (Gaynal Persians) was keen to breed the old fashioned type.

Now that interesting Yola "old fashioned type" so you ean persians were not always so "flat faced" sorry no other way to say it........

angieh

I must be just an old-fashioned girl at heart then. Personally, I prefer the longer nosed type of Persian, although I did not know there was a difference until you just told me. Thanks for telling me that. Do you find that she has less trouble with the "runny eyes"?

I also prefer the old-fashioned type of Siamese.

Just personal preference really.

Kazz

Snap me to Angie I adore the old fashioned siamese.

She doesn't have as much discharge but she is very, very prone to conjunctivitis. I have repeat scripts for her eye drops

No, currently the very flat face is the breed preference. As long as the cat is happy and healthy it doesn't really matter to me how flat their faces are. I love them for their breed characteristics (personality wise) and the fact they are very misjudged and misunderstood.

Myshka's asleep on the desk right by my PC and he hasn't really left my side all day. Having said that, Fifi and Balie haven't been evident all day (apart from Fifi wiping her skid-marks all over my landing carpet)

Remind me, WHICH characteristic did I love them for???
