Rehoming

I have decided to find a nice new home for Midge. She is a lovely hammy but I just dont have as much time to spend with her as i used to with the result that she doesnt get out of her cage as much as before. Although she doesnt like to be handled, she does like to be stroked and gently brushed.
I am not in any hurry to rehome her but feel she will be better off with some one who has the time to give her a bit more tlc than i can, and preferably a home with out cats.

I am sure there must be the perfect place for her somewhere Elaine. Do you know how old she is?

Of the top of my head, she is around 8-9 months old I think.

Have you got a local primary school that would like her or do you think that her dislike of handling could be an issue?

I dont like that idea much as she would get very stressed if little hands were to try to squish her and pick her up, this in turn would lead to screaming kids coz she would bite them.
I have one or two people in mind to ask if they would like her and as i said, its not an urgent issue as she is being kept clean and fed etc. I just feel guilty for not having the time to pet and groom her, she probably doesnt care at all:lol:

I had to rehome my guinea pigs around a year ago for similar reasons. It's hard, but you know you're doing the right thing for them.

(Said guinea pigs now live with the Mother of my sister's friend and are spoilt rotten.)
