I took all 3 of my furry monsters to the vet last week for their booster jabs and they where fine. A week later Queenie has suddenly got a swelling under one nipple. It doesn't seem to bother her but I am wondering if a trip back to the vet is needed. Anyone any ideas what it could be?

I think it may be wise to let the vet have a look at Queenie to be on the safe side, Paula......... :?

Oh Paula, that's not good news. Hopefully the op will clear things up and Queenie will continue in a healthy vein.

Do hope all goes well for Queenie. My dear old Smudge (Gone but not forgotten) was thought to have a mammary tumour after she had finished feeding her kittens. Very luckily it turned out to be mastitis and responded to abs. I would wish that Queenie had as much luck.

I am really happy Queenie on the other hand has a bold patch and an empty tummy and that dog nose that shoved itself too close was a handy place to stick a claw or two into.

:-D

One slight problem, the vets nurse put a collar on her, the minx has got the thing off herself twice and she wants to wash her tummy.

Oops...naughty girl! I assume she has stitches.......best to try and get the collar back on her and maybe gently wipe her tummy with some damp cotton wool.

They are tricky those collars! Helps if you have someone to help holding Queenie while you get it back on. When Merlin had trouble with his collar rubbing, the vet stuck some elastoplast-type tape along the inside edge next to his skin, which helped a lot.

Will try with the cotton wool, she had a good nights sleep in my room, me I've got backache after being pushed against the wall, guess who had the bed all night.
:-D

Lucy is a rough collie and a walking cat scratching post, any p roblem in the universe of queeniedom can be cured by thumping swatting or biting the dogs nose (she loves them though)
