We did a motorhome tour of Northern England a while back in one and we had a fabulous time. You can see over hedges and get brilliant views :D Stopped and made a cuppa in the most wonderful of places, North Yorks. moors and Hadrian's Wall to name two. Would love to do Scotland in one; will put it on my 'To Do' list :-D
