Another cat story from my side of the Pond......that must be a big cat to be mistaken for a cougar ....:-D

It would be worrying if it really was a cougar, do they usually venture into the city Eileen?

No, Mags, because there aren't any; except for the endangered Florida cougar they have not been here on the Eastern seaboard and neighboring states since the 1800s!!
But we do have coyotes re-established here, and they do indeed come into the City via Rock Creek Park!

I looked up the Savannah cat that the article mentions - here's a link to a picture. Stunning looking animal and this particular one doesn't look frightening.

I remember reading somewhere that lion and puma cubs have spots when they're born, but lose them. That Savannah cat certainly has lovely spots!
